AFTER7 Girls | Amsterdam Fashion Week Edit
AFTER7 visited Amsterdam Fashion Week and here’s a quick recap of our experience. From magazine drops, to shows and afterparties.. we’ve seen it all this time around. So let’s talk about (some of) our highlights.
OHIM – “The Ways of Water”
A debut that felt more like an experience than a show: a glowing water runway, high-shine fabrics with touches of red, and a film that shared the stories of five Black Amsterdam creatives.

Ülkühan Akgül – “Etnisch Profiteren”
At the Hollandsche Manege, Ülkühan flipped the script on cultural commercialization. Everyday objects became statements: faux grass skirts, stone bags, tourist-pin details, cardboard crowns. Less about looking pretty, more about provoking thought. Activism dressed up as fashion.

RECONSTRUCT x Fleuril
Overstock and secondhand textiles got a new life on the runway at Studio3000. Minimalist, industrial red looks tied it all together. It was also the first-ever catwalk collab with a detergent brand. Proving AFW is not afraid to experiment with what “sustainable” can look like.

One big takeaway? Sustainability is no side act anymore. With Copenhagen Fashion Week’s standards in play, AFW is heading toward strict goals. Amsterdam is setting the pace for fashion’s greener future.
And yes, we partied too: cocktails at the chic new TufTuf (formerly Disco Dolly) with YUMEYUME x Grey Goose. And closing it off on Thursday at Roest during the LEVI’S closing party. Alltogether it has been an amazing week full of inspiring moments and cool brands to see. And above all: we had FUN. It was the perfect week to attend with the AFTER7 girls, and we made sure we enjoyed it together.
