AFTER7 Girls | March Edit
Welcome to: Where are the AFTER7 girls
This blog is all about sharing different places we’ve visited, mostly in Amsterdam. Every month, we take you along to the spots we’ve been to, the things we’ve seen, and (sometimes) the chaos we’ve caused. No fake hype, just our real experiences.
The spots will vary from well-known hotspots in Amsterdam to more unique and cozy places. So whether you’re looking for a familiar place to go with the girls and run into people, or a more intimate spot for your next date, we’ve got you!
Let’s dive in and share our 4 spots for March:
1. Chateau Amsterdam
We’re starting off strong with a wine tasting at Chateau Amsterdam, where they actually make the wine in Amsterdam! Not something you hear every day, but here they do. Chateau Amsterdam is the city's first urban winery, bringing grapes from across Europe to craft their wines right here in the city. During our visit, we sampled three whites and three reds, along with some bites. Located in Amsterdam Noord, it’s definitely recommended if you’re looking for a unique experience beyond just going out for drinks. It’s also a great spot if you want to learn more about wines and what you like, and why!
2. Bottleshop Amsterdam
We walked into Bottleshop not really knowing what we were in the mood for, but we left obsessed. This is the kind of place where you sit down for one glass and end up staying for hours. Located on Wibautstraat, Bottleshop has an amazing curated wine list (which we fully explored). They also host the Chef Counter, where chefs from all over the world take over the kitchen for the night. We didn’t hit one this time, but it’s definitely on our radar.
3. De Parel
A cozy, accidental find in the Jordaan, right on Westerstraat. We stumbled in, freezing, looking for some tea to warm up before heading to our next stop. This café was the perfect pit stop. Small, stylish, with super welcoming staff. We’ll definitely be back to try the food. Some places just feel right the second you step in.
4. Bar Kosta
Okay, okay, we never said we were highlighting ‘hidden gems.’ Sometimes, the obvious spots are worth the revisit. Bar Kosta was that place this month. Especially now that the sun is out, this is the perfect place to sit down and enjoy the weather. The terrace is large and ideally located to sit in the sun for as long as possible. We even got surprise Salmari shots (sadly, not from a cute bartender or secret admirer) but from our friends, who we didn’t even know were there. Pure coincidence, so we all sat together afterwards. That’s what we like (or dislike, depending on the mood) about the more obvious spots in Amsterdam: you never know who you’ll run into.
That’s our AFTER7 shortlist for March. With spring officially here, expect more outdoor spots and new discoveries! We’ll be back soon.
See you AFTER7
